As a youngster, I trained at the Victoria Wade School of Dance in Huddersfield and did countless exams and competitions. I then went on to train with Mary Kelly of Bradford and then to the Dorothy Stevens School of Ballet and Modern Dance, taking up a full-time place between the ages of 16 and 19. However, it\u2019s good for me to push myself and is in no way a complaint. I wish I had the time and energy to attend twice a week. I\u2019m definitely benefiting from pushing myself and I don\u2019t feel out of place because, thanks to Zoe the class is very relaxed and non threatening. I was originally advised by a physio to do pilates because I have a lower back problem which was getting worse. I like to feel I have been to a class and I love the new vibe to Friday night classes (aerobic grapevines n all).... She has the ability to help you achieve things you never thought possible! She is also treats everyone as an individual according to what they can be expected to achieve and she gives lots of praise. She is always looking for new ways to challenge us & move us on with our fitness whilst always being aware of people's own limitations & fitness levels. I\u2019m soon to start back at work and I\u2019m sad for my Friday classes to be coming to an end but thankfully Zoe has classes all week esp in the evening so I have no excuse! Dancing professionally in the UK, abroad and on cruise ships. After having a Hallux Valgus (bunion correction) I then began focusing on Pilates and the benefits it has to offer. During my rehabilitation, I continued practising Pilates for myself while gaining qualifications to teach group exercise classes.
