Still in a little bubble after our blissful weekend @hightrenhouse in the stunning Yorkshire Dales 🤍

I felt so at ease and happy with the beautiful ladies and man who came on my retreat. I want to do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing! 💞

The hosts were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us, the food was delicious and plentiful. The venue was so welcome and homely 🤗

Weather couldn’t have been kinder and everyone got along so well. New friends were made and we are all hoping to meet up again on our next one 💓

We had lovely gifts bags with merchandise from @fellpromotions and beauty products from lovely Julie @jm_skin_beauty_ 😍

Saturday evening was extra special as we had a wonderful soundbath with gorgeous Sarah @moon_hands_sound_therapy 💖

Once we reframe our mindset to one that sees moving our bodies as a privilege then we will shift our attitude and look forward to exercising instead of thinking it’s a chore ♥️

2025 has been a challenging year for me in my personal life. I’m grateful for the lessons, I needed it.

The end of last year was very different to the end this year. I was feeling like a failure and pretty hopeless. A lot has changed this year and I feel clear headed and focused.

Trust your intuition, believe in yourself 💕

Standing abdominal exercises using light weights.

We’ve been doing this all week. I feel it’s really important to practise movements and actions that are similar to our everyday movements.

I love all the mat work but we need to feel the benefits of Pilates when we are on our feet ☺️

I can’t get enough of these exercises at the barre and there are endless variations and levels of difficulty/intensity.

I also love the feedback I get from my lovely ladies in these classes. Somehow it’s just more interactive and even more fun than a mat class. We laugh, we chat, we compare aches 😄

It’s a shame I don’t have any men in class! I am going to invite Aaron @aaronvl_pt @avlfitnessgym to my neck of the woods to try it!

This topic is close to my heart as I have my own pelvic floor ‘issues’. It’s hard to admit this given my profession. You would think I have a really strong pelvic floor ………

Many of you know I have to dash to the loo part way through class and I do drink a lot of water but, when I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go!

I think we should speak about this much more. It’s not a simple solution of ‘just holding it in’. How annoying is it when someone says that!

It could be that your pelvic floor is constantly ‘on’ so, when it comes to asking for a little bit more, it just can’t give it.

It could be that you’re stressed or certain foods/drinks are causing the problem. There could be many reasons and do seek expert advice if you are concerned.

Either way, just squeezing isn’t always the answer.

I love a plank but we rarely do them in class because they are tricky and often not done safely. Although they look impressive and it’s rewarding to improve your form and length of time holding position, life’s too short to push yourself 💓

In class we focus on functional movement which help us do life 😊 making you feel more confident everyday, all day doing things you need to do.
